How to Use the Site

Star Wars Books Info is your one-stop-shop for all things Star Wars books! Currently, the website features only canon Star Wars books, but expect to see Legends books in 2026.

If you’re new to the site, here’s how it works:

Eras

All books on the site are sorted according to the era in which the book is set. The site uses the same eras as Lucasfilm’s official timeline:

  • Dawn of the Jedi
  • The Old Republic
  • The High Republic
  • Fall of the Jedi
  • Reign of the Empire
  • Age of Rebellion
  • The New Republic
  • Rise of the First Order
  • New Jedi Order

The eras can be accessed via the homepage as well as the tags on each book page (more on tags below).

Book Pages

Each book page is divided into the following sections:

  • The header, which provides basic details about the book (author, publication date, era, key characters, etc.) as well as links to purchase the book on Amazon and Bookshop.org (if available);
  • The publisher’s summary;
  • A quick summary;
  • The book details, which mirrors information from the header but also includes audience and ISBN;
  • Star Wars Categories, which shows tags associated with the book (more below);
  • Books By This Author, which lists other Star Wars books written by the same author;
  • If You Like This Book, You’ll Also Like, which offers a selection of comparable titles (“comps”) identified by the website admins.

Tags

Each book has an associated set of tags, which can be found under Star Wars Categories on the book page. Currently, there are tags for key characters, authors, publication year, era, audience, and canonicity. More tags may come in the future. The tags are hyperlinked – clicking on a tag will take you to a page that will show all other pages on the site that include that tag.

Timelines

There are currently two book timelines on the site, which are accessible via the Book Timelines menu in the header. One timeline displays all books according to in-universe chronology (BBY/ABY), while the other displays all books according to publication date. Both timelines can be filtered according to era via a dropdown menu at the top of the timeline page. Additional timelines will be added to the site when Legends books are included.
